Geneva resident Bill Nygren generously donated his collection of 32 horse-drawn buggies that dated as far back as the late 1700s to the Seminole County Historical Society. Commissioner Zembower worked closely with Mr. Nygren to start the planning to preserve and eventually display this one of a kind collection.
Jay became the driving force behind the transfer of the buggies and ended up orchestrating the move in less than one day. In the end, the move ended up being an “all hands-on deck effort” that proved what we can accomplish together as a community. As stated by Commissioner Zembower in a national publication, “the collection is a treasure of immense historical value to the citizens of Seminole County and the world.”
